(अगस्त्य रसायनम्) दशमूलं स्वयङ्गुप्तां शङ्खपुष्पी शठीं बलाम् । हस्तिपिप्पल्यपामार्गपिप्पलीमूलचित्रकान् ॥ १२७ ॥ भार्गी पुष्करमूलं च द्विपलांशं यवाढकम् । हरीतकीशतं चैकं जलपञ्चाढके पचेत् ॥ १२८ ॥ यवस्वेदे कषायं तं पूतं तच्चाभयाशतम् । पचेद्गुडतुलां दत्त्वा कुडवं च पृथग्घृतात् ॥ १२९ ॥ तैलात्सपिप्पलीचूर्णात्सिद्धशीते च माक्षिकात् । लेहं द्वे चाभये नित्यमतः खादेद्रसायनात् ॥ १३० ॥ तद्वलीपलितं हन्याद्वर्णायुर्बलवर्धनम् । पञ्चकासान्क्षयं श्वासं सहिध्मं विषमज्वरम् ॥ १३१ ॥ मेहगुल्मग्रहण्यर्शीहृद्रोगारुचिपीनसान् । अगस्त्यविहितं धन्यमिदं श्रेष्ठं रसायनम् ॥ १३२ ॥ अष्टाङ्गहृदयम् चिकित्सास्थान कासचिकित्सितमध्यायम् ३/१२७ - १३२

Agastya Rasayanam is one of the very famous Ayurvedic medicine for asthma. It is widely used in many of the respiratory diseases. It is not only a medicine, but also a rejuvenative (Rasayana). When compared to other Ayurvedic medicines for asthma and other respiratory diseases, this is advantageous, since it is very safe for long term use.
Develops body power, complexion and can be used suitably in asthma, hiccup, chronic fever, gulma (tumors), grahani (irritable bowel syndrome), piles and heart ailments. This is also effective in loss of appetite and constipation.
This Ayurvedic medicine has been first described by Agastya Rishi  Ancient sage of India.

Usage: Can be given before or after meals according to the condition. It can also be given frequently in divided doses.

Dosage: 10-15 gm for adults and 5 to 10 gm for children twice daily or as directed by the physician.
