About Nagarjuna Dhanvantar Tailam

Dhanvantar Thailam (Oil) is ayurvedic medicated oil formulated for Vata disorders. It can be used internally (orally) and externally for the massage. Its internal oral intake and its external application both are beneficial in the treatment of paralysis, hemiplegia, quadriplegia, and wasting or physical weakness. It improves the strength of muscles, ligaments, tendons, and other tissues in the body. It also acts as nervine and neuroprotective, so it plays a vital role in the neuroprotection and preserving the natural functions of the nervous system. It also supports musculoskeletal system, so it is also beneficial in the pain disorders like arthritis, osteoarthritis, knee pain, backache, and spondylosis. It effects are more observable on pain and numbness as compared to Dhanwantharam Kashayam because the sesame oil is used as its base, which is itself a potent VATASHAMAK Medicine. It is also useful in puerperal diseases, children’s diseases, urinary disorders, uterine diseases, hernia, and hydrocele.

Effect

Vata and Kapha mixed Vata condition.

Dosage

Dhanvantar Thailam can be used in massage or local application as per requirement. 

• Children-5 to 10 Drops .
• Adults-10 to 20 Drops.
• Maximum Possible Dosage.
• 60 Drops Per Day (in divided doses).
• Twice a day with Dhanwantharam Kashayam or Warm Milk.

Side Effects

There are no side effects reported with Dhanvantar Thailam external application. Oral intake of Dhanvantar Oil also has no side effects when used in recommended dosage. In high dosage (more than 5 ml).

It can cause the following side effects

• Indigestion
• Belching with taste of Dhanwantharam Oil
• Abdominal Discomfort
