DOS & DON’TS

Dos

• Practise diet control and avoid oily and fried foods.
• Prefer steamed, boiled and baked vegetable rather than fried.
• Eat complex carbohydrates like cereals (wheat, barley and maize, oatmeal) and among vegetables, consumption of bitter gourd, long gourd and drumstick is recommended.
• Practise brisk early morning walk at least for 30 minutes.
• Practise stress management by meditation, yoga etc.

Don’ts

• Avoid sweet and dairy products which are high in calories.
• Do not eat fast foods, fried, oily and non-vegetarian food in excess.
• Do not ‘smoke’.
• Avoid sedentary habits and excessive sleep.
