• INTRODUCTION

Vamana is the first among five detoxifying – cleansing therapies broadly known as shodhana therapies. It helps in clearing the above part of the body & is the best remedial solution for kapha dosha & second best remedy for pitta dosha.

• PROCEDURE

Prior to the Vamana procedure, internal oleation with medicated ghee/oil is advised for 3-5 days according to the patient’s constitutions is done. After proper preparation the patient is given specially created Vamana medicine. Then patient is asked to wait for VAMANA VEGAS.....

• DIET

Before Before Vamana one has to consume a specific diet which should not increase the Pitta. After After Vamana patient has to follow a strict dietary regimen where gradual increase in the quality & quantity of the food is carried out. This period varies depending upon the quantitative shodhana & can be from 3 -7 days
